I still can hardly believe that the year has come to an end already! 2017 was a year of taking chances for me. I had always loved sharing ideas with others, but was always scared to start a blog because I was worried that someone I knew might read it. Why it's so hard to get over that fear I don't know, but I was excited to give it a go in 2017. It was difficult, but I pushed through and now I am obsessed. With 2017 at an end I have worked hard to come up with a plan to really bring it in 2018 and I can't wait for all of the fun things I have planned for the blog in 2018. Since I haven't been blogging an entire year yet I don't have a ton of content, but I still had some posts from 2017 that you seemed to love so I thought I would share The Best of Life on Southpointe Drive 2017 with you today. So here we go….yours (and mine) favorites of 2017!
Let's start at #1 and work our way down to #6. To find out more about each post just click the link or picture and it will take you to the full post!
#1. 8 Small Home Projects that Make a Huge Impact
My number 1 post (and also one of my favorites), was a collection of 8 Small Home Projects that you can do around your house to make an instant impact. All of these projects are easy projects that can be completed over a weekend and also solo if you can't find you a helper!
#2. How to Paint Baseboards Like a Pro
You can give your home an instant pick me up by touching up those dingy baseboards (if yours were like mine!). I shared some great tips on making painting your baseboards easy and you'll be a pro in no time!
#3. Printable Recipe Cards (In 2 Different Sizes)
To help get that kitchen organized, I shared some FREE printable recipe cards for you to use to get all of those recipes saved into one spot! I made 2 sizes…one size that will fit into a binder and another to fit inside a recipe box.
#4. Install DIY Shiplap: The Easy Way
Looking for a quick and easy weekend project that will make a huge impact? I shared how you can Install DIY Shiplap the easy way. I did this project solo, so it's also one you can knock out by yourself!
#5. DIY Chalk Paint Chandelier
I have a huge crush on chalk paint and it's usually my go-to when it comes to making over a piece of furniture in my house. This transformation ended up giving me such a beautiful Restoration Hardware look, and I love it! With a little chalk paint and some dark wax you can turn your old light fixtures into something stunning.
#6. How to Paint an Upholstered Chair with Chalk Paint
You all must love chalk paint because my next most popular post was my chalk painted chair. I used chalk paint to paint the upholstery on this chair to make it a beautiful staple of my home office!
I want to thank you again for following along in 2017 and I can't wait for a great 2018! See you all soon and Happy New Year!
