Since adding the shiplap in the entryway, it has been feeling a little bit lonely and empty! I have yet to decorate the entry since I added my beautiful shiplap! In my mind I know exactly the look I’m going for and now it is just finding the right pieces to fit my look. I am planning a farmhouse entry with vintage charm and maybe a little new mixed in!
I’ve really been struggling with this whole planning process lately. I have the vision in my head but finding the right pieces to fit that vision has been really hard! I feel like I have scoured Pinterest for hours to get some inspiration and when I finally do, I can’t seem to find the right chair or the right lamp that I have in my mind! Over the past couple of days though things have really started to come together and the pieces feel like they are starting to fit!

Since I feel like over the past weeks I have spent around 1,000 hours (ok not really, but feels like it) searching the internet I am going to share with you some of my favorite finds for beautiful entryway and farmhouse decor.
It has taken me years to really find what I would consider my decor style and for a few years now I have settled on a farmhouse style with a lot of vintage and antique finds mixed with some new pieces! Over the past year, my style has started to slightly shift to include more french vintage mixed with farmhouse style…I’m not sure what you would call it, but I’m loving it! For the entry I really wanted to try to use a lot of the furniture I had on hand but sprinkle in some new-old finds!
The entryway transformation really started when I added the shiplap earlier this year. If you’re interested in a step-by-step tutorial on DIY Shiplap make sure to check it out! Here are a few before and after shots of the shiplap:
I can’t tell you how much it has changed the feel of the house – with just a quick weekend project! Now, months later this is still what it looks like – bare and empty. All that is about to change!
After making a list of furniture and decor pieces I wanted to use for this space, I decided to use an old buffet I had sitting in my old dining room (which is now my transformed home office)! My plan for the buffet is to paint it with either milk paint of mineral paint- and of course I will be sharing a tutorial on that in the coming weeks! Then I get stuck…now for the decor. So what better way to help me make my decision then by making a few inspiration boards of some of my favorite farmhouse decor and share it with all of you! Now on with the finds:
There is just something about a lamp in the entryway that I absolutely love! With so many options out there you can spend anywhere from under $25 to hundreds, but these are some of my favorite inexpensive lamps that I am considering for my entry. I really love the wood look and I’ve also really started loving the concrete ones. What do you think? Which one is your favorite?

2. Urbanest Cote Concrete Finish Table Lamp {Amazon
3. Distressed White Lamp {Hobby Lobby}
4. Whitewashed Mini Lamp {Hobby Lobby}
5. Threshold Grey Double Gourd Lamp {Target}
6. Antique Gray Table Lamp {Kirklands}

There are millions of beautiful and affordable home decor sites these days it’s easy to just snag up a bunch of stuff without really having a plan for it – I am guilty of that! I tend to try and keep my spaces very minimal without a lot of clutter. My first go-to for home decor is usually vintage finds, but I am also loving all of the options available online! Sometimes it’s hard to even tell the vintage reproductions from the real thing. Here are a few of my favorites that I found while looking around:
2. Brushed Bronze Lantern {Kirklands}
3. French Market Basket {Amazon}
5. Galvanized Hooks {Pottery Barn}
Even though I am far from finished with planning this farmhouse entryway, I am having so much fun seeing all of the pieces come together. I plan to share a few DIY projects with you in the coming weeks…I can’t makeover a space without a little DIY! 😉 Be sure to stay tuned for the finished space and a little DIY!
