It’s time to make my entryway more inviting. Follow along with my plans to transform my entryway!
For those of you that have followed along you will know that my entryway has transformed over the years. If one thing in my house is constant, it’s that I am always changing up something! For those of you that are new I will give you a little history on my entryway.
Here is how my entryway started out. It started out very farmhouse style with the tobacco basket and a lot of wood tones. I would always have fresh flowers in the vase, and added a few boxwood wreaths for some pops of green. Then I eventually added a lamp.
Then after much going back and forth, I decided to paint the buffet with white milk paint and distress it.
I continued to move the decor around depending on the season, or if I was just looking for a change. Here is what it looked like dressed up for Halloween! Earlier that year I had added some lanterns to go on the sides.
Well, it’s finally time for another change. I am finding myself moving away from the farmhouse decor. Don’t get me wrong I do love the look of farmhouse decor still, but for me I am switching gears and going for more of a transitional decor mixed with vintage. This is always the look I have loved, but when decorating I would find myself adding too much vintage or farmhouse and it would make the space look too farmhouse, which always bothered me. One goal for my home was to always have a timeless look that would last.
One way I have found that keeps me from getting too much farmhouse, or too modern, is by making mood boards. It’s so much easier to change things up on the mood board! Here is the final design and look I am going for in my entryway.
Be sure to follow along in the next couple of weeks for the reveal and all of the sources that I used. I can’t wait to show you how it turned out!
